Chris Pratt's No Tolerance for Negativity: A Stance Against Bad Attitudes in Hollywood
Chris PrattIn a candid discussion at this year's New York Comic Con, Chris Pratt, the renowned actor known for his roles in "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "The Electric State", made it clear that he has no patience for negative attitudes in the film industry. Speaking at a panel for his upcoming Netflix sci-fi movie, Pratt passionately addressed the issue of negativity on set, expressing how detrimental it can be to the filmmaking process.
"There's no room for s---ty attitudes there", Pratt emphasized, calling out fellow Hollywood stars who may not appreciate the opportunities they have. "You can't have a bad attitude in moviemaking. It ruins everything for everyone, and then you don't last long. It sucks when people have a crappy attitude."
While Pratt was firm in his rebuke of negativity, he was equally effusive in his praise for his co-star Millie Bobby Brown. Describing her as "incredible", Pratt shared anecdotes of Brown's compassionate nature, noting her efforts to find homes for animals during breaks on set. "They would yell cut, and she'd go to her home, and she's finding a home for, like, some pygmy goat to be adopted and organizing a U-Haul full of pit bull puppies to be taken to Indiana", he recounted.
Pratt's remarks highlight a broader dialogue in Hollywood about professionalism and perspective, as he challenges his fellow actors to enjoy the unique privilege of their careers without unnecessary negativity. "Oh, are you having a hard time living your dream? Is that tough for you today?" Pratt questioned rhetorically, urging a more positive and grateful outlook.
Set to premiere on Netflix in March 2025, "The Electric State" reunites Pratt with directors Joe and Anthony Russo and boasts a star-studded cast, including Ke Huy Quan, Stanley Tucci, and Giancarlo Esposito. It promises to be a significant release, especially with its powerful message of maintaining a positive and passionate atmosphere on set.
