John Stamos Reveals Incident Leading to His Ejection from Scientology
John StamosJohn Stamos, known for his role on 'Full House', recently shared an unusual story about his brief encounter with the Church of Scientology on the 'Friends in High Places' podcast.
Attracted by a girl from his acting class and inspired by John Travolta, Stamos decided to visit the Scientology building on Hollywood Boulevard at the age of 17. However, his playful antics didn't sit well with the staff.
During his interaction with the church's E-meter device, Stamos couldn't resist doing impressions of Sherman and Peabody from 'Rocky and Bullwinkle,' which led to his immediate expulsion from the meeting.
Despite multiple attempts to engage him seriously, the staff found his behavior too disruptive and asked him to leave. Stamos recalled the incident in both his 2023 memoir 'If You Would Have Told Me' and during the podcast, concluding humorously that he was 'too annoying to be a member of the church.'
