Johnny Depp's Lawyer Camille Vasquez Clears the Air on Dating Rumors
Johnny DeppIn a recent series of interviews, Camille Vasquez, Johnny Depp's former lawyer, has firmly addressed and dismissed ongoing rumors about a romantic relationship between herself and the famous actor. Vasquez, who played a crucial role in Depp's high-profile 2022 defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard, has consistently denied any romantic ties with the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star.
During an interview with Extra, Vasquez, 40, openly spoke about the speculation that has followed her since the trial. "I would never", Vasquez stated unequivocally. "Let me just go on the record here: Never dated Johnny Depp. Never would date Johnny Depp. I think he's a lovely person... He's not my type".
Vasquez recalled that her parents informed her of the romance rumors during the trial. Despite these rumors, she emphasized that her connection with Depp was strictly professional and that any suggestion otherwise was unfounded. "It's unfortunate and it's disappointing", Vasquez told People in June 2022, highlighting the sexist undertones of such assumptions about her professional relationship with Depp.
Reflecting on her time working with Depp, Vasquez described her initial meetings with him as eye-opening. "I remember maybe after 30 or 40 minutes of speaking with him, I remember having an out-of-body experience and looking at him and thinking, 'He views the world so differently than I do,'" she shared. "He definitely uses a different part of his brain; he's such an artist".
Despite not having seen many of Depp's films, including the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series, Vasquez remains in contact with the actor, noting that they are part of a group text, maintaining a friendly, professional rapport.
