Kristin Davis on Her Reluctance to End Romance with Alec Baldwin
Alec BaldwinIn a candid revelation, Kristin Davis, renowned for her role in 'Sex and the City', shared an unusual reason for hesitating to break off her relationship with Alec Baldwin. The actress, who was at the peak of her fame as Charlotte York in the early 2000s, found herself charmed not just by Baldwin, but by his lavish lifestyle.
During a conversation on the 'Literally! With Rob Lowe' podcast, Davis admitted that Baldwin's extraordinary house in Amagansett was a significant factor in her reluctance to let go of their romance. "Alec Baldwin was so rich by the time I dated Alec Baldwin", she explained, highlighting the opulence of the estate that once belonged to the actor best known for roles in 'The Departed' and other Hollywood hits.
"One of the best things about Alec Baldwin when I dated him is that he had the most incredible house in Amagansett". Discussing the house, Davis recalled a moment of introspection at work, confiding in her Sex and the City co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker. "I just don’t know if it’s going to work out with Alec and I, but I just really love that house", she remembered thinking.
This reflection comes amidst Davis's recent anecdote about losing money to a struggling actor she once dated, quickly dispelling any rumors that Baldwin was the recipient of her generosity. Baldwin, who acquired the Amagansett property in 1995 and expanded it over the years, has faced legal difficulties due to the tragic incident on the set of 'Rust'.
Despite attempts to sell the property, it remains on the market after being listed again with a significant price reduction. Davis, who never married, enjoys a fulfilling personal life as the mother of two adopted children, Gemma and Wilson.
