This prequel showcases Gibbs forging his path within a gritty team, led by the legendary Mike Franks, a character well-known to NCIS enthusiasts, previously portrayed by Muse Watson and now by Kyle Schmid.
Harmon, who exited the original "NCIS" series in 2021, will contribute his voice as the narrator for each episode of the new series, providing continuity for longtime viewers. This decision came out of collaborative discussions between Harmon and co-showrunners David J. North and Gina Monreal.
